Job description

Laser Satellite Communication

Airbus NL is developing a portfolio consisting of multiple products for cross atmospheric communication to obtain a leading OEM position. Across the complete portfolio Airbus NL focuses on adding value on system level and by developing and realizing (realtime) control systems. This is done by leveraging control system knowledge and heritage available in the Dutch ecosystem. Airbus NL aims to take a leading position in this development.

The Challenge

The development of Control Systems requires growth in our Control workforce. We are therefore looking for a Senior Control Engineer matching the below described profile.

The following work is expected to be done. We expect senior persons to apply to have done this project cycle at least several times.

Control System Requirements Analysis
Pointing budget review
Conceptual design (control strategy, component selection, modelling approach)
Control Analysis (performance assessment: stability, robustness, accuracy)
Control System Software verification of Functional and Performance requirements
Simulink code transition to c-code
Support to Hardware implementation
Support to Subsystem closed /open loop testing
Support to System MAIT campaign
Support to IOD test

What it takes

Minimum HBO/WO degree or similar, preferably with a relevant degree/training/certificate for the position
2 year assignment for 32-40hr per week.
5-10 years of Control experience
Experience with Laser Communication and/or Optical Systems (nice to have)
Aerospace experience (nice to have)
Experience with Matlab, Simulink (nice to have)
Documentation writing in English
Working in international team (English)
Residency in NL & past working experience in Europe
Working in integrated team
Working on site ~80%
Coordination skills

Residency in Netherlands
This concerns a temporary filling of a regular position at Airbus with the
intent for takeover. Due to legislation the assignment is therefore not
suitable for filling on a self-employed basis. Any interested self-employed
individuals can be offered on a secondment basis (*with salary payment)
through an agency. Subcontracting arrangements are explicitly not allowed.
If it is found that this criterion has not been truthfully fulfilled, the
assignment will be terminated immediately

Op gesprek – goed voorbereid op pad

Word je uitgenodigd? Mooi! We plannen samen het gesprek en bereiden het grondig voor. We geven je tips & tricks en duiken in de inhoud van de opdracht. Het doel: jouw kansen maximaliseren.

Go of No-Go – samen evalueren

Na het gesprek evalueren we hoe het ging. Wil jij door en ziet de opdrachtgever het ook zitten? Dan koppelen we je aan één van onze uitzendpartners. Zij regelen het uitzendcontract. Is het toch geen match? Dan halen we feedback op en zoeken we verder.

Aan de slag – alles geregeld, jij kunt starten

Bij een succesvolle bemiddeling leggen we alle afspraken vast in een overeenkomst. Je uitzendpartner regelt het contract, de administratie en zorgt ervoor dat je netjes en op tijd betaald wordt. Jij hoeft alleen maar te focussen op je werk (en een taart sturen mag altijd 😉).

Service – ook ná de start zijn we er voor je

Zolang je aan de opdracht werkt, blijven wij je aanspreekpunt. Ook kan je regelmatig uitnodigingen van ons verwachten voor kleine events en borrels bij ons op kantoor. Heb je vragen over je opdracht, verlenging of indexaties? Eén belletje en we helpen je verder. Is de opdracht afgerond? Dan zoeken we met plezier naar een volgende uitdaging voor je.
